Rain

Rain. Female. Age 18.

Rain is 18 years old and is Mum to Raindrop. (Which also makes her Oreo’s Grandma!) Rain is a miniature donkey with the woolly gene, and her hair is long and luxurious, but also usually filled with her bedding as she loves to roll in it! Rain can be nervous and scared in new situations but is such a sweet donk! She’s very patient during walking and loves to be groomed – though getting all the shavings out of her hair is a never-ending task!
We need to keep an eye on her as unlike her daughter Raindrop, it can be hard for her to gain weight, so we monitor her food intake and she might be allowed the odd treat to keep her at a healthy weight. (Shh, don’t tell the others!)

Sponsoring Rain costs only £40 for the year, which can be paid in one payment or £4.00 a month direct debit. It’s up to you!

In return you will receive a welcome email, your downloadable Sponsorship Certificate and a digital photo of her, plus a voucher for entry to one or all of our open days here at Durham Donkey Rescue for the duration of your sponsorship where you will get the opportunity to meet and hug Rain and her companions.

Any surplus money accumulated through sponsorship of a particular donkey is then spread amongst the other donkeys so they all share your care!
